Sweet Corn

PRODUCE: Sweet Corn should produduce long golden cobs of corn with sweet, juicy kernals that when crushed emit a creamy white fluid.

PLANT:  Tall and compact with long leaves, flower sprays appear at top of plant, but cobs form on the stem at the point where leave join. Most corn will trive in an open, sunny humus rich, well drained position.

HARVEST:  The corn cobs are ripe for picking when the tassels at the end of the cob become brown.

PRODUCE: Bright yellow, glossy skined with scalloped edges.

PLANT:  compact plants with big leaves

TIPS: Pick regulaly to extend cropping, water well in summer

Lemonade

PRODUCE: Lemonade Citrus fruit is yellow and about the size of an orange, and has a flavour very similar to home made lemonade.

PLANT:  The Lemonade tree is a cross between a lemon and a mandarine

TIPS: The fruit is not often available in shops, so a couple of these trees are a must on your property.

Snow Peas

Snow Peas produce bright green, flat sweet tasting crispy pods. They prefer a sunny humus-rich, well drained position. Southern Climates OK, but protect from frost.

Harvest regularly to prolong cropping

Kaffir Lime

The unusual double leaf of the Kaffir Lime.
